Safety first: observe a running conveyor only from designated guarded positions. Isolate, lock out and verify zero energy, and secure take-up movement, before any hands-on check or correction.
Plan
Use OEM intervals, operating duty and failure history to schedule lubrication, alignment checks, cover measurements, cleaner servicing and protective-device tests.
Prepare
Identify every energy source including electrical supply, gravity take-up, belt tension, back-driving and trapped material. Follow the site isolation and zero-energy verification procedure.
Execute
Use competent personnel and approved torque, lubrication and alignment specifications. Record measurements before and after the work.
Verify
Restore guards, remove tools, account for personnel and use the authorised restart process. Confirm normal tracking, temperature and noise.
